The same people, start to finish
The people who write the investigation report design the remedy, and the people who design it oversee construction and operation. Bench and pilot testing precede full-scale design when the technology or the geology is uncertain.

We work daily with NAVFAC, USACE, AFCEC, EPA regions, DTSC, Regional Water Boards, and state programs, and we keep community stakeholders informed when the work affects them.

Professional, reliable, in-depth engineering and scientific expertise
NOREAS, the Network of Remediation Engineers and Scientists, is a small business environmental engineering and science firm headquartered in Irvine, California, serving federal agencies nationwide.
Who we are
NOREAS was founded in 2008 as a Network of Remediation Engineers and Scientists, and the name still describes how we work: engineers, geologists, chemists, risk assessors, and field operations staff, many of whom have worked together for twenty years or more, assembled around each site's problem rather than a department chart. From our headquarters in Irvine, California, and offices in San Diego, Omaha, Austin, and Washington, DC, we provide scientific, technical, and engineering support to federal agencies and to industrial, legal, and other private clients with complex environmental liabilities. Principals stay on the projects they win, we self-perform the civil, mechanical, and electrical work our remedies require, and we work as prime contractor and through long-standing joint ventures when a program calls for more reach than one small firm can supply. Every new hire starts with health and safety orientation and the authority to stop work they consider unsafe. The program is run by a Certified Industrial Hygienist, and in 2024 and 2025 NOREAS worked 476,925 hours without a recordable injury.
